Kenya Police FC midfielder Mohammed Bajaber is unfazed by the competition from Morocco, DR Congo, Angola, and Zambia as Harambee Stars gear up for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) scheduled for August 2 to 30.
Harambee Stars are in Group A of CHAN, widely regarded as the group of death, but Mohammed Bajaber believes the Kenyan team has all it takes to conquer the group stages.
Harambee Stars will begin their campaign against 2016 Champions DRC on August 3 at the Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Mohammed Bajaber, who has enjoyed a stellar season with Kenya Police, revealed that Harambee Stars need to go into all their matches with the much-needed confidence to succeed.
“You can’t go into the tournament while fearing your opponents; you have to respect them, but do not fear. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best, and that is the mentality we need to have,” Mohammed Bajaber said in a video shared by Jason Sagini on X.
Mohammed Bajaber is also in awe after receiving another national team call-up, revealing that it is a privilege since Benni McCarthy would have opted to select other midfielders.

Benni McCarthy has reacted to Moses Shumah's move to Power Dynamos, which rules the striker out of the Harambee Stars' CHAN squad.
“I feel honoured…out of all the players, it’s an honour to be selected for the national team, and I’m so proud. Obviously, as a team, we have to be ambitious and go into the championship with a winning mindset, and that’s my main goal,” he added.
“It’s very important because obviously, it gave me a platform to get here, and I’m so proud to be a Kenya Police player and very happy to be a champion.”
