Seven years post-birth a woman accuses ex-FKF CEO Robert Muthomi of neglecting their child and is seeking help through blogger Cyprian Nyakundi.

Former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) CEO Robert Muthomi has found himself at the center of a paternity scandal as a woman has allegedly accused him of neglecting his fatherly duties towards a child she claims they share.

The controversy came to light when the aggrieved mother reached out to renowned blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, who brought the matter to public attention through his account on X, formerly known as Twitter.

According to the birth certificate displayed on social media, the child in question was born on March 7, 2017, at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.

The mother's plea for support, shared by Nyakundi, paints a picture of a woman in distress, struggling to manage her child's needs on her own.

"Hi Nyakundi. I have a daughter with Robert Muthomi, the CEO of Professional Golfers of Kenya. For the past 7 years, he has neglected his responsibilities. I am really struggling to foot some of the bills, especially fees.

"He has blocked me in all avenues. I am not able to afford legal action, and he knows that. Kindly post him so that it can reach him. You are my last resort. Thanks," the message read.

This allegations comes almost four years after Muthomi's departure from the helm of Kenya's football governing body amid controversies surrounding a transfer saga involving former Sofapaka player John Avire.

Since then, Muthomi has taken up the role of Chief Executive Officer at the Professional Golfers of Kenya Association (PGK) marking a new chapter in his career.

Muthomi's tenure at FKF was marred by allegations leading to his decision to step aside in July 2019 to allow investigations into the matter.

By October of the same year, he was cleared of all charges by the FKF Disciplinary Committee, which cited insufficient evidence against him.

The case has ignited discussions on social media, with many calling for accountability and support for the mother and child involved.

As of now Robert Muthomi has yet to respond to these allegations.
