Tyson Otieno, Austin Odhiambo’s elder brother, has shared his thoughts on playing with his brother on the same team after a long time of being rivals.
Tyson Otieno and Austin Odhiambo played together for Baba Dogo United for a while before the former left for the Kenyan Premier League. Baba Dogo United shaped the careers of Austin Odhiambo and his brother, Tyson Otieno.
Austin Odhiambo would later join AFC Leopards’ youth side before joining Gor Mahia, where he has been impressive so far.

The former Gor Mahia coach has given a confident update as his team prepares to face Harambee Stars in Kasarani.
On his part, Tyson Otieno started his Kenya Premier League career at Mathare United FC, before heading to Muhoroni Youth FC and later Kariobangi Sharks. Otieno then signed with Kenya Police FC and was released at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Tyson Otieno admitted he would enjoy the chance to play alongside Austin Odhiambo, though it is not something he desperately longs for.
He emphasised that what matters most is seeing both their careers flourish, adding that if the opportunity presented itself, he would gladly take it.
“I would love to…I love my brother, that’s all I can say. I always wish him all the best, but whatever God wants, may it happen for us,” Tyson Otieno said on the Tiki Taka Show.

Otieno added that Austin Odhiambo does not let success get into his head, revealing that the Harambee Stars attacking midfielder always mingles with everybody.
“He has not put his interests above society’s despite his experience. He even finds himself arguing with the little boys in the neighbourhood. The boys learn a lot from him, and it makes them realise that fulfilling their dreams is possible,” Tyson Odhiambo said.
