Tusker will be hoping to close the gap to Gor Mahia to just seven points with a win, but know it will not be easy against AFC Leopards who are on a hot run of form.

Tusker FC will be hosting an in-form AFC Leopards hoping to close the gap on Gor Mahia to just seven points in an FKF Premier League encounter in Machakos on Sunday at 3 PM.

The game, which is set to be aired on Azam TV, will see Robert Matano face his former side with the aim being to finish second by the end of the day, ahead of Bandari on goal difference.

Tusker is currently third on 40 points, but could be second by the end of the day with a win over Ingwe.

Throughout the season, they have secured 12 wins, four draws, and suffered seven losses across all competitions, boasting a 52% average win rate.

Their performance at home has been slightly less impressive, with a home win rate of 45%. The Brewers have netted 31 goals while conceding 15, averaging 1.00 goals per match in their home games.

In their last six matches, they have achieved four wins, experienced two losses, and have not settled for any draws.

Matano has already warned his charges not to take anything for granted if they are to walk away with silverware at the end of the season.

"We cannot afford to drop points at this crucial juncture. Our goal is to continue winning and work on reducing the gap with the leaders. With 11 league matches and four cup games left, every encounter from now on is a final for us," said Matano as per Capital Sport.

Ingwe are seventh with 34 points. They have secured eight wins, drawn 10 times, and suffered five losses across all competitions, resulting in an average win rate of 35%.

Their performance on the road has been slightly weaker, with an away win rate of 27%. Leopards has netted 21 goals while conceding 15, averaging 1.00 goals per match in their away games.

They are unbeaten in their last six matches, having secured five wins, drawing once, and have not faced any losses, indicating a strong run of form.

Head coach Tomas Trucha intends to use the game to see where the team is in terms of mentality, given it is the first truly competitive team they are facing since Kakamega Homeboyz.

"It's a big one. Tusker FC is back on track with a very experienced coach always hungry to beat AFC Leopards. For us, this match is a litmus test to gauge the progress of our project and how high we can soar on the log this season," Trucha told the club portal.

In other matches, Posta Rangers will face Kariobangi Sharks hoping to get back to winning ways after losing heavily to Gor Mahia.

Wounded Nzoia Sugar will be up against Talanta. Kenya Police will host Muhoroni Youth, while Kakamega Homeboyz will be seeking to gun down Ulinzi Stars.
