The Nottingham Forest striker is set to move on loan to Turkey according to reports

Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis is reportedly set for a loan move to Turkish side Istanbul Başakşehir after the club reached an agreement with the Super Eagles forward’s current team, Nottingham Forest.

Dennis set for Turkey switch

Dennis has been strapped for playing time since joining Nottingham Forest in 2022 and has only started six Premier League games since his move from Watford.

In total, Dennis has played less than 800 Premier League minutes for Nottingham Forest and is yet to play for the Tricky Trees in the 2023/24 season, showing a critical lack of game time at the club.

With the 2023 AFCON on the horizon, Dennis would be desperate to improve his playing situation and earn more minutes, making a move away from Nottingham Forest a must for the forward.

Dennis to leave Nottingham Forest on loan

As most top European leagues have closed their summer transfer window, Dennis’ best option for a move is to go to Turkey, with the country’s transfer window open until September 15.

Dennis is reportedly on his way to Istanbul Basaksehir, as noted in an exclusive by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano in a post on social media platform X.

The move for Dennis to Istanbul from Nottingham Forest is reportedly a loan without an option to buy, indicating that the Super Eagles forward will return to England after his temporary move.
