FKF Premier League set to witness a surge in Shabana FC's fanbase as the club unveils strategic recruitment plans.

Newly promoted Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Shabana FC has announced an innovative fan recruitment strategy as the club gears up for its much-anticipated return to top-flight football after a 17-year hiatus.

The club, which has historically enjoyed fervent support, is aiming to bolster its financial stability through the establishment of official branches across the nation and even beyond the borders of Africa.

In a statement released by the club on Tuesday, Shabana outlined its ambitious plan to form official branches that will serve as key drivers in the recruitment of enthusiastic members.

“Shabana FC will have official branches around the country, within and outside Africa. The Branches will help sign up members to meet the required number to be gazetted and issued a certificate of acknowledgment as a Shabana branch,” the club said.

As part of the membership drive, each official branch is required to raise a minimum of Ksh10,000 and enroll a base of at least 50 members, each paying a Ksh500 registration fee.

These branches will serve as the grassroots level of Shabana's fan engagement, helping to establish a strong connection between the club and its supporters.

Moreover, the official branches are expected to maintain open communication channels with their members, adhering to the club's guidelines for responsible representation on various social media platforms.

To ensure efficient operation and representation, each official branch must have designated positions, including Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Youth Representative, and Transport Manager.

These roles will facilitate organised coordination and effective communication within the branches, further strengthening the bond between fans and the club.

The move to create official branches draws inspiration from the successful model employed by other prominent Kenyan football clubs, such as Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.

These clubs have managed to cultivate substantial followership across the region by establishing a network of branches that amplify their reach and influence.

Shabana's resurgence into Premier League has sparked renewed hope and excitement among football enthusiasts.

With the club's storied history and a dedicated fan base, its return promises to inject new energy into Kenyan football and provide fans with thrilling matches and memorable moments.
