Shabana Secretary General Elizaphan Kerama has provided assurance on the suitability of Gusii Stadium to host their high-risk FKF Premier League (FKFPL) clash against Gor Mahia on Saturday.
The nature of the passionate support around the two clubs has raised concerns about the Nyanza Derby being accorded the same status and subsequently the same security parameters as the Mashemeji Derby between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.
This would mean the fixture being hosted at the likes of Nyayo Stadium or Kasarani instead of Shabana’s historic Gusii Stadium.
