The England captain clinched his long-awaited silverware as Bayern Munich were officially crowned Bundesliga champions on Sunday, and his reaction said it all.

Despite missing Saturday’s 3-3 draw against RB Leipzig due to suspension, Kane watched on as Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-2 result at Freiburg handed Bayern Munich an unassailable lead at the top.

That sealed the Englishman’s first-ever team honour with Bayern Munich’s 34th league title and their 33rd Bundesliga crown.

Kane had already smashed records in Germany, scoring 60 goals in his first 60 league games and racking up 24 this season alone.

But more than anything, this moment was about silencing the doubters and burying the narrative that trophies and Harry Kane just did not mix.

Kane reacts to first trophy

After several frustrating years of waiting with Tottenham, Bayern Munich, and the England national team, how did Kane react to finally lifting silverware after more than a decade of trying?

With a single trophy emoji on X (formerly Twitter). No words. No long captions. Just the symbol of the very thing that has brought him grief for many years and has now brought him relief.

The post quickly caught fire, attracting waves of congratulations from fans and well-wishers, including ex-Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher.

For a player often judged on what he had not won, Kane’s quiet post signified the end of the so-called curse, now officially broken.
