'The Noise Was Too Much' – Rulani Mokwena Reveals What Really Led to His Wydad AC Departure
Rulani Mokwena revealed that his departure from Wydad AC was driven less by financial issues and more by other factors that made his role unbearable.
It remains to be seen if an agreement will be reached soon but Pirates are running out of time to have a new coach in place as they need to begin pre-season in July with a tour of Spain lined up where they will play a number of high-profile matches, including against English club Bolton.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach is one of the highly rated tacticians on the continent and has attracted interest from a number of teams but looks like he might return to Pirates where he worked previously as assistant and then as interim head coach between 2017 and 2019.
