Talented Kenyan midfielder is searching for a new club after parting ways with Vihiga Bullets due to unpaid salaries.

A search for a club is underway for former Vihiga Bullets midfielder Felix Ochieng following his departure from the side.

Ochieng, a rising star in Kenyan football, recently parted ways with Vihiga Bullets, a club that underwent significant changes after being acquired by Football Kenya Federation Eastern Division Two side Samwest Blackboots FC.

Ochieng's departure from Vihiga Bullets coincided with the start of the season, leaving him in pursuit of new opportunities to continue his promising career.

Despite the challenges, Ochieng remains hopeful and determined to find a new club in the upcoming transfer window.

"I am still at home training on my own, and yes, my agent is still checking for a club for me," Ochieng revealed in a recent conversation with Pulse Sports.

"Yeah, hopefully, there will be something concrete before the next transfer window opens, and I think something will come up as time goes by," he added optimistically.

At the start of 2023/2024 FKF Premier League season, Felix Ochieng had potential transfer deals on the table from local clubs, with discussions held with FC Talanta and Kakamega Homeboyz.

Ochieng's decision to part ways with Vihiga Bullets was influenced by the club's unfortunate relegation from the FKF Premier League at the end of the 2022-2023 season.

The club, originally acquired in 2019 from the Kenyan Premier League side Nakuru All Stars, enjoyed its best campaign in the 2020-2021 season when they finished second, narrowly behind champions FC Talanta, earning them promotion to the top flight.

However, their fortunes took a downturn, resulting in relegation at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season after a challenging and disappointing campaign.
