Posta Rangers are fourth on 12 points, one behind AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia after seven league games played.
Posta Rangers head coach Sammy Omollo ‘Pamzo’ has explained what his charges must do in order to keep their surprise league title challenge momentum going after their latest 0-0 draw against Kenya Police last weekend.
Omollo, who famously guided Tusker to the FKF Premier League title in 2011, has overseen his charges start the season in impressive fashion, with the team now in fourth place after seven games played.
So far, they have registered some decent results, including against Shabana, who they stunned 2-1 in Gusii, with their only heavy loss coming against Gor Mahia at Nyayo Stadium when they lost 3-0.

Timothy Ouma: Transfer Decision Denies Harambee Stars Midfielder Dream Meeting With Arsenal
Timothy Ouma will watch as his parent club Slavia Prague host Arsenal on Tuesday night but things would have been very different for him had he been given a chance.
Speaking to Sports Eye Sports in a recent interview, Omollo, a former Harambee Stars defender, expressed satisfaction with his charges’ start to the new league season.
The tactician was pleased with his side’s performance against Kenya Police, highlighting their improved focus and teamwork.
“Sometimes we normally lose focus in the second half. Today we looked sharper in the second half. Everybody was working for the team, and we had a lot of communication — it was like a market,” Omollo said with a smile. 4
“Previous games, the boys have been very quiet, and it has not helped us. So I’m really happy with the result. Nil-nil, playing against Police on their home ground, this is massive for us.”

The Harambee Stars coach has explained why Jose Mourinho returning to his old coaching style could be a major boost for the game.
He noted that his players have learned from past lapses that cost them valuable points earlier in the campaign.
“When we played against Gor Mahia, we conceded cheap goals because of lapses. Then we played against Murang’a Seal — we were leading 2–0 and lost control of the game in the second half. So today we didn’t lose concentration or control, and I really appreciate the one point we got. It will go a long way for us.”
We Have to Keep Doing the Right Things
Omollo also praised his team’s resilience and progress compared to last season. “This is a team that last season was fighting relegation. Imagine, we are top three now and doing well. It’s only for us to keep on doing the good things we have been doing.
“ We have to be brave enough in the games we are playing. We have to play with a lot of confidence,” he said.

The Kenya Police FC midfielder has reflected on his difficult beginnings and how perseverance transformed people's doubt into applause.
The coach emphasized that the team is not burdened by unrealistic expectations. “We don’t have any pressure that we have to win the league. We don’t have any pressure now that we are fighting relegation. It’s only for us to maintain the tempo that we have,” he said. “This season I didn’t set the targets. The only thing is that every game we have to take it as a final but go there and enjoy.
“ Because if we set targets, although they have to be realistic, sometimes they bring a lot of pressure to the players and even the coach. So just go there and play — we win games, we draw games, we are happy about that.”
With Omollo’s calm leadership and steady philosophy, Posta Rangers continue to punch above their weight — quietly positioning themselves as the season’s most refreshing story so far.
