Alexander Isak has hinted that there is more to his move from Newcastle United to Liverpool than meets the eye, leaving fans curious about the untold story.

Liverpool's new striker, Alexander Isak, has finally broken his silence regarding his dramatic transfer to Anfield.

The Swedish international had been pushing for a move to the champions all summer, creating significant tension at Newcastle United. Ultimately, Alexander Isak secured his move to the Reds on the final day of the transfer window.

The transfer fee for Alexander Isak was a British transfer record, with Liverpool paying Newcastle United a fixed fee of £125 million. This fee surpassed the previous British record, which Liverpool themselves had set earlier in the summer with the signing of Florian Wirtz.

It is also noted that the Alexander Isak deal will take Liverpool's total summer spending to around £446 million, with a net spend of £218 million.

Alexander Isak was focused on leaving Newcastle United, with reports noting that he skipped Newcastle's pre-season tour and took no part in the first month of the Premier League season.

Alexander Isak Speaks For the First Time Since Liverpool Transfer

“Not everyone has the full picture, but that’s a conversation for another time. I can’t control everything that’s said or written. But I’m happy to be a Liverpool player,” Alexander Isak stated.

“It’s great that everything was sorted before the national team camp, and I could focus on football again. It was quite a new situation for me, but you always learn and develop mentally, both on and off the pitch,” the forward added.

He confirmed he received no specific instructions from Liverpool regarding his playing time. “I played 20 minutes and felt good. No, as far as I know (Liverpool didn’t limit my playing time). Clubs and national teams maintain contact, but in such cases, it’s between them.”

Due to an injury that has kept him sidelined since the start of the season, Alexander Isak is not yet at optimal fitness. On Monday evening, he played only about 20 minutes in Sweden’s 2-0 loss to Kosovo in a World Cup qualifier.

The attacking player is now returning to England to begin working with Arne Slot ahead of Sunday’s league match against Burnley.
