Murang'a Seal seek comeback against Sharks as Tusker and KCB face off in high-stakes FKF Premier League clashes this Sunday.

Murang'a Seal are set to face off against Kariobangi Sharks in a crucial Football Kenya Federation Premier League clash this Sunday afternoon.

The highly anticipated match, taking place at Police Sacco Stadium, promises to be a gripping encounter with kickoff scheduled for 1 pm.

Seal, currently on a challenging five-match winless streak in the FKF Premier League, is looking to turn their fortunes around.

Their last game, a 1-1 draw against AFC Leopards, highlighted their resilience, but they are yet to find a winning formula.

Despite these setbacks, the team remains motivated. Positioned 10th in the table during their first appearance in the top flight, they are focused on persevering despite recent form struggles.

The Central-Kenya based side is adjusting to recent changes in their coaching staff. Gabriel Njoroge's departure following a series of disappointing results has led to Dennis 'Wise' Okoth taking over the reins on an interim basis.

Okoth, whose first match in charge was against Leopards, is aiming for an improved outcome against Sharks.

"The mood is right, and the boys are willing and ready to fight for what is justifiably theirs. Generally, we hope to start this new year [2024] on a high note," said Okoth.

However, Seal will be without key defenders Robert Mudenyu and Brian Marvin for the upcoming match due to injuries. The team extends its best wishes for their speedy recovery.

On the other side, Kariobangi Sharks are riding a wave of positive momentum. Their impressive 3-0 victory over FC Talanta before the festive season has bolstered their confidence.

Sharks are eagerly anticipating the return of Ian Karani and Victor Ngume from injury, which could be a significant boost for the team as they prepare for the upcoming clash.

Currently 13th on the table with 17 points from 16 matches, Sharks are looking to capitalize on the return of these key players to ascend in the league standings.

Other fixtures on Sunday promise to be equally thrilling. KCB and former champions Tusker will lock horns in a high-stakes encounter at the Police Sacco Stadium starting at 4 pm.

Tusker, coming off a victory over Police, faces a formidable challenge in KCB, a clash that could potentially shift league dynamics.

Struggling Sofapaka, under the new leadership of head coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno, will confront Bidco United at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos. Currently languishing in the relegation zone, Sofapaka is under immense pressure to improve their standing.

Finally, AFC Leopards, striving to climb the league table, will host Ulinzi Stars at Nyayo Stadium. With each team battling for crucial points, this weekend's matches are set to be a showcase of skill, strategy, and the unrelenting spirit of Kenyan football.
