Murang'a Seal's coach Juma Abdallah is optimistic about defeating Gor Mahia in their upcoming Football Kenya Premier League match.

Murang'a Seal head coach Juma Abdallah has expressed confidence in his team's ability to overcome Gor Mahia in the upcoming Football Kenya Premier League clash this Saturday at St. Sebastian Park.

Having moved up to the Premier League in June after an impressive season in the National Super League (NSL), Seal is looking to rebound from their recent setbacks—a 3-0 defeat to Nairobi City Stars and a goalless draw against Muhoroni Youth.

In a recent press briefing following a team training session, Abdallah highlighted his team's focused approach, emphasizing that the status of the opposing team does not alter their preparation.

"We approach it like any other match; it's a league game so whether we play against Gor Mahia or Muhoroni Youth, our preparations are always geared towards ensuring that we collect maximum points," Abdallah explained.

"We drew with them [Gor Mahia] in the away fixture and with good preparations, I am confident of a positive result at home," he added.

Seal's performance this season has been a rollercoaster placing them eleventh in the league standings after 27 rounds.

A victory on Saturday could potentially elevate them to eighth place, accumulating 38 points, depending on how AFC Leopards, Bidco United, and KCB fare in their matches.

On the other side, Gor Mahia is closing in on the league title, needing just four wins and one draw from their remaining seven games to clinch the championship and secure a spot in continental competitions.

"The team is aware of what is at stake and the importance of each game as we near the end of the season. We are not just participating; we are competing," Abdallah concluded.
