Ulinzi and Murang'a Seal showed strong attacks with Ben Stanley and Mark Bikokwa playing crucial roles.

Murang'a Seal's two-game losing streak came to an end, although celebrations will be muted following a 1-1 draw against Ulinzi Stars in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match played at SportPesa Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The results leaves Seal sixth on the log with 22 points from 14 matches. For Ulinzi Stars the point was enough to lift them to 10th with 17 points.

Ulinzi started on a high note, and in the 10th minute, a good cross from Ben Stanley Omondi was saved by goalkeeper Wilson Ngamau.

On the other side of the field, goalkeeper Michael Wanyika had a brilliant long pass to Mark Bikokwa, who went for a shot, but Brian Marvin made a crucial block, sending the ball out for a corner.

Seal were looking to attack through the wings, and Marvin Brian had a chance to set up an unmarked Samuel Semo in the 21st minute, but the ball was blocked.

Ulinzi went ahead in the 34th minute from Ben Stanley's corner, which was crossed brilliantly into the box to find Mark Bikokwa, who made no mistake in front of goal to put the visitors ahead.

Gabriel Njoroge's charges finished the first half the stronger of the two teams, but they could not seriously test Wanyika in the Ulinzi goalposts, and the score was 1-0 during the halftime break.

Seal were the better side after the restart with Wanyika forced to make two decent saves within the opening 10 minutes of the second half as the hosts pushed for an equalizer.

Wilson Kamau teed up Yusuf Ally whose good shot was blocked by the Ulinzi defender Alex Masinde.

Brian Marvin then wasted the chance to equalise from a free-kick in the 61st minute as he planted his header wide from inside the six-yard box and Boniface Muchiri almost made Seal pay seven minutes later from a corner that he headed inches wide of the right post.

Within a minute, Samuel Semo had rattled the crossbar with a strike from inside the area which saw Seal denied by the frame of the goal for the third time in the match.

Time was running out for the hosts and Eric Balecho failed to test Wanyika with a header that he steered wide off the right post from a 75th-minute free-kick in what proved to be their best opportunity to get something from the game.

However, in the last ten minutes of the match, Seal found an equalizer through Batts Awita, who capitalized on a communication error in Ulinzi Stars' defense.
