The former Gor Mahia left-back has found himself being part of a team that is battling for survival in the Swedish top league.

It was another game to forget for Eric Marcelo Ouma as AIK, the 2018 Swedish league champions had to persevere a heavy 3-1 thrashing to Norrkoping on Monday.

AIK drew first blood when Rui Modesto broke free down the right wing and found himself through on goal in front of Jansson, before scoring

However, Norrkoping’s Vito Hammershøy-Mistrati, played on by Jesper Ceesay, then crossed the ball to Totte Nyman who hardly missed to draw his side level.

Norrkoping would complete the turnaround just before the break when Arnor Traustason took care of clearing and, a few meters outside the penalty area, shot the ball hard via Nordfeldt into the AIK goal.

The second half was somewhat less intense - but, Norrkoping still had enough to add a third goal before the referee blew the whistle.

Victor Lind scored a free kick from distance to make it  3-1 to Norrkoping.

The result means AIK are stuck in 15th place on 19 points, level with Goteborg who are also battling relegation and are in the promotion and relegation playoff playoffs.

In 17 league appearances, Marcelo, who has been playing as a left wing-back, has scored only one goal and registered one assist.

There are 10 league games of the Allsveskan season left, and time is running out if the 2018 league champions are to survive the drop.

In Denmark, Daniel Anyembe played 90 minutes at right back as Viborg registered a 2-1 win over Velje which marked their second win of the 2023/2024 Danish Superliga season.

In doing so, Viborg are sixth in the league, seven points behind league leaders FC Copenhagen.

Anyembe has won two caps for Harambee Stars, with the first one being his debut appearance against Iran in March this year.

He represented Denmark at U21 level, earning six caps but later switched his allegiance to Kenya, having never represented the senior Danish side.
