Nabi Kibunguchy shines for Orlando despite omission from Harambee Stars' squad for the Four Nations Tournament in Malawi.

Harambee Stars defender Nabi Kibunguchy was in action for the full 90 minutes as Orlando City B suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Inter Miami II in a gripping MLS Next Pro League encounter on Wednesday 3 April.

Orlando City B, aiming to build on their early-season momentum, faced a formidable opponent in Inter Miami II.

The game started with high intensity with both teams looking to assert their dominance early on.

However, it was Inter Miami II who broke the deadlock in the 21st minute through a clinical finish by Flores putting the visitors in the lead.

Kibunguchy who was stationed at the heart of the defense fought valiantly to stem the tide of Miami's attacks but the early goal set the tone for the remainder of the match.

Despite the setback Orlando City B showed signs of promise with Kibunguchy orchestrating from the back attempting to launch counter-attacks and stabilize the defense.

The home team's efforts to level the score were met with stern resistance and Inter Miami II doubled their advantage four minutes after the hour mark, sealing their victory and taking home three crucial points.

The match also marked significant milestones for several Orlando City B players.

Goalkeeper Javier Otero made his MLS NEXT Pro season debut, starting between the sticks, while midfielders Shak Mohammed and Diego Pareja were introduced as second-half substitutes, adding fresh legs and dynamism to the Lions' midfield.

Kibunguchy who has been a consistent figure in Orlando City B's lineup this season played with a mixture of grit and composure.

Despite picking up a yellow card, his defensive contributions were vital for the team.

With five points from three games, Orlando City B is poised for their next challenge as they travel to Philadelphia for their upcoming league game next Wednesday.
