Former Chelsea star eyes Champions League final with derby win.

Former Chelsea and current AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori says he is aiming for the stars in the Champions League ahead of his side’s much-anticipated game against Inter Milan tonight.

The England international believes his side can be regarded as the best in Europe despite a dodgy domestic season that has seen the Italian Champions scrambling for the top four with few matches of the Serie A season left.

“We can be regarded as the best team in Europe,” he said. “The semi-final of the Champions league is not easy to get to. We are looking forward to that game,” he added.

“We’ve got an exciting run-in and got things to play for, which is exciting.

“A derby in the semi-final, it does not get any better than that. We are really excited for. Alot of people wrote us off against Napoli but we still pulled off two great performances three times in ten days and did not lose.

“We know what we can do and people can now see Milan are a great team. We have to put our best foot forward trying to win that game.”

Tomori enjoyed the best moment of his career last season, helping the Rossoneri lift their first Scudetto title in 11 years after featuring heavily throughout. A year later, the reliable England international is currently one of Serie A's best defenders when it comes to successful passes, tackles won, and blocks.

He can certainly go one step further and lift the Champions League with a victory over their Milan rivals over two legs and help the club deliver the European holy grail number eight for the side.
