Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has expressed deep appreciation to his teammates and fans after leading Galatasaray to a cup trophy.
Galatasaray defeated Trabzonspor 3-1 on Wednesday night to win the Turkish Cup trophy this season.
The Nigerian forward now has 35 goals this season after scoring twice, securing his place in the Turkish club's history and setting a new milestone.
The Nigerian international's two goals have surpassed Mario Jardel's record of 34 goals, making him the highest-scoring foreign player in a single season since the 2000-2001 campaign.

Victor Osimhen celebrates historic Turkish Cup win with Galatasaray, scoring twice in a 3-0 rout of Trabzonspor, breaking a 24-year goal record with 35 goals.
What Osimhen said
According to Galatasaray's official website, Victor Osimhen commended his teammates for their support, specifically acknowledging Yunus Akgün's contribution during the game.
"I would like to thank my teammates very much. Especially today, Yunus was very unifying," Osimhen said.
"Goals make me happy, of course, but I want to reciprocate the support my teammates have given me since I came here with goals.

" I am very happy to score goals, but it is a separate pleasure for me to go down in the history of this great club. We will continue to fight until the end of the season."
Osimhen recognises the strong emotional bond he has developed with Galatasaray supporters.
He continued, "I really can't stand it, they show me so much love. There is a fan base here that gives everything for the team. There is an incredible passion that I have never seen in my career.”
Having won the Cup, the 26-year-old now focuses on the league, seeking to guide the Yellow-Reds to a domestic double this season.
