Liverpool icon Graeme Souness has called Reds star man Mohamed Salah the most selfish player he's ever seen.

Salah's Liverpool future has been thrown in doubt after a touchline dispute with manager Jurgen Klopp against West Ham last weekend.

Salah was preparing to enter the game as a substitute after being left out from the starting line up, before Klopp appeared to walk up to him and whisper something in his ear.

The Egyptian became incensed immediately and had to be restrained by teammate Darwin Nunez.

Souness calls Salah selfish, expects him to leave Liverpool

Souness, speaking on William Hill’s Three Up Front podcast, shared his thoughts on the situation, while insisting the 31-year-old will leave the club this summer.

"Salah is the most selfish player I have ever witnessed. Even before that game, whenever Klopp takes him off, he is never happy about it.

’“That is what you want from your players; if you take them off on two goals, they should want to stay on to score a third. When Sadio Mane was there, they’d fall out all the time,” Souness said.

Salah has scored 24 goals in 41 appearances for Liverpool this season.
