The Soldiers have signed a prolific scorer and solid defender to strengthen their lineup as they eye a successful campaign.

Four-time Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) champions Ulinzi Stars have made a significant splash in the transfer market ahead of the 2023/2024 season.

The Soldiers have secured the signatures of three promising talents: forward Ben Stanley Omondi, midfielders Matthews Omondi and Nicholas Omondi, along defender Omar Swaleh Mwandaru.

Ben Stanley makes his way to the Anthony 'Modo' Kimani-coached side from the National Super League (NSL) team Migori Youth following the end of his association with Sofapaka.

With an impressive track record from the previous season, Ben Stanley recorded three goals and a staggering thirteen assists, making an indelible mark in his inaugural top-flight season.

Standing as a testament to his influence, Ben Stanley clinched multiple Man of the Match awards during his tenure at Sofapaka, instrumental in propelling the club to the quarterfinals of the FKF Cup in the previous season.

The 19-year-old attracted interest from former champions Tusker and Ulinzi Stars, along with financially robust teams like KCB, and Nairobi City Stars.

Ben Stanley’s football journey began as he showcased his skills for the national youth team between 2016 and 2017 under the guidance of former FKF technical director, Andreas Spier.

His inclusion in the national team that participated in the prestigious Southampton Challenge trophy in 2016, held in London, further underscored his potential as one of the emerging talents in the region.

The infusion of Omondi's attacking finesse, combined with Nicholas and Okumu's dynamic skills, along with Mwandaru's robust defensive aptitude, is poised to significantly enhance the soldiers' performance and strengthen their prospects in the upcoming season.

Nicholas arrives from Darajani Gogo, while Okumu joins from the coastal region outfit Kenya Navy FC, bringing with him an array of talents that promise to enhance Ulinzi Stars' offensive prowess.

Mwandaru's arrival from another National Super League outfit, SS Assad, fortifies the team's defensive lineup, adding depth and resilience to their backline.

The Soldiers kicks off with a compelling home match against Nzoia Sugar this Saturday away at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.
