FIFA has relegated one African club over match-fixing allegations

One East African Football club Muhoroni Youth has been relegated from the second tier.

This decision follows FIFA's finding that the club was guilty of match manipulation via Super Sports.

FIFA's investigation led to the conclusion that Muhoroni Youth had engaged in activities related to match manipulation. As a result, the club's senior team has been expelled from the second-tier league.

The FKF has expressed its full support for FIFA's decision, emphasising its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the game.

The federation reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on match-fixing and other forms of manipulation.

"We fully supports Fifa's decision and its zero-tolerance stance on match-fixing and all forms of manipulation that threaten the integrity of the game," FKF said.

This incident is the latest in a series of match-fixing scandals to hit Kenyan football. The FKF's strong stance against match manipulation aims to restore the integrity of the sport in the country.

The relegation of Muhoroni Youth serves as a warning to other clubs and players involved in match manipulation.

The FKF's decision demonstrates its dedication to upholding fair play and ensuring the credibility of football competitions in Kenya.
