In a partnership with athletics wear giant Nike, the triple Olympic champion will attempt an Eliud Kipchoge-esque challenge.
Just like Kipchoge’s historic Ineos sub-two-hour marathon, Kipyegon will race against the clock with the help of pace-setters, but full details are yet to be revealed.

Kipyegon’s Inspiration

The Kenyan track star has revealed her inspiration for attempting the feat.
"I’m a three-time Olympic champion. I’ve achieved World Championship titles. I thought, what else? Why not dream outside the box?" Kipyegon said, as quoted by Citizen Digital.
Kipyegon’s inspiration comes from having conquered her trademark 1500m event, where she became the first person—man or woman—to claim gold at three consecutive Olympic Games at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The world champion, who set the current official mile world record of 4:07.64, also holds the 1,500m world record of 3:49.04 set in 2023.
"I want this attempt to say to women, 'You can dream and make your dreams valid,'" she added.
