Louise Ingavi is a ferocious goal-scoring machine that believes the sky is the limit not just for him, but his counterparts representing the Junior Stars at the ongoing CECAFA U18 tournament taking place in Kisumu and Kakamega.
Ingavi has shown excellent prowess leading the line for Junior Stars, scoring two goals and contributing generally well to the side’s attacking play, linking play well with his back to goal, running the channels, and pressing like a monster.
Like many of his mates, the 17-year-old made a name for himself at the 2023 School Games, which earned him a scholarship at Sima School in the USA, before he received his maiden call-up to represent the Kenya national U18 team at the ongoing tournament.

Ingavi has now spoken in glowing terms about the experience of representing his county for the first time, saying that scoring twice on his debut was an exciting experience.
“It was so nice, it was my first call up to the national team, and immediately in my first game, I scored the opener for the team and I was so happy,” Ingavi told Cecafa Online.
“I want to win the Golden Boot. This tournament is preparing us – not me alone — to be able to play on a bigger stage where there are a lot of people watching.”

Ingavi has finally revealed how life has been since going to the USA, saying that he had received a scholarship two years ago, which unfortunately did not materialize.
“It has not been easy. I initially received the scholarship offer like two years ago, then things messed up for a bit but it came back again, and I had to travel back to the States and it was so nice.
“It is a good place. In Africa it is quite hard but over there, everything is easy. The meal is there for you at the right time, the right potion that you want, and everything is good.”
