Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has set a new Premier League record after becoming the fastest player to reach 100 league goals.

Erling Haaland has once again etched his name into the Premier League history books, becoming the fastest player to score 100 goals in the competition's history on Tuesday night.

The Manchester City phenomenon achieved the milestone in just 111 appearances, shattering the previous record held by Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer, who needed 124 games to reach the century mark in the 1990s.

Haaland's historic goal came in the 17th minute against Fulham at Craven Cottage. After an earlier attempt struck the post, the Norwegian striker made no mistake with his second chance, firing a powerful shot past goalkeeper Bernd Leno to secure his place in Premier League folklore.

Since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in July 2022, Haaland has been on a relentless scoring spree, consistently breaking records. His latest achievement places him ahead of some of the league's most iconic forwards.

Haaland Has Been in Scintillating Form for City

Thierry Henry reached 100 goals in 141 games, while former City star Sergio Agüero took 147 matches and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah required 162 appearances.

The goal also extended his lead at the top of this season's scoring charts, taking his league tally to 15. This puts him well ahead of his closest competitors, Brentford's Igor Thiago and Brighton's Danny Welbeck.

This is just the latest in a long line of accolades for the 25-year-old. During Manchester City's treble-winning 2022-23 campaign, he broke the single-season scoring record with an incredible 36 goals, surpassing Salah's previous best of 32 in a 38-game season.

The victory in West London also allowed Pep Guardiola's side to close the gap on league leaders Arsenal to just two points, keeping the title race firmly alive.
