The FKF Cup draw in Nairobi sets thrilling matchups for defending champions, prominent teams, and underdogs in a high-stakes tournament.

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup has officially commenced with the preliminary draw being held at the Kenya Institute of Special Education in Nairobi.

Defending champions Kakamega Homeboyz, who will begin their journey to defend their title in the Round of 32, are set to face Solian City, a relatively unknown team in Kenyan football circles.

In another headline clash, Gor Mahia, one of Kenya's most successful and popular teams, will travel to face Denmak FC.

Known for their passionate fanbase and rich history, Gor Mahia will be looking to stamp their authority on the tournament and add another trophy to their cabinet.

Four-time champions Tusker FC have been drawn against Bombani FC. Tusker's reputation for playing attractive football and their consistent performances in domestic competitions make them one of the favorites for the cup.

This match against Bombani FC is expected to be a showcase of Tusker's tactical prowess and depth of talent.

Shabana FC will face off against Shalimar from Naivasha, while AFC Leopards, with a rich history in Kenyan football, are set to battle PAC University.

Before the Round of 32, the preliminary rounds will see exciting clashes, including Vegpro against Kenya Police FC.

The winner of this match will face the victor between Wisdom FC and Posta Rangers, setting the stage for intriguing encounters in the later stages.

Other notable fixtures include Meru-based Al Azzizia against Luanda Villa, with the winner facing the victor between Eldoro Sports Club Villa from Taita Taveta and NSL side Mombasa Stars.

Furthermore, Marafiki FC vs FC Talanta will lead to a faceoff with the winner of Bandari vs Bungoma Stars.

Interestingly, four FKF Premier League teams – Muhoroni Youth, Murang'a Seal, Nzoia Sugar, and Nairobi City Stars – did not register for the tournament, raising questions about their absence from this prestigious cup.
