During the Carabao Cup quarter-final match between Chelsea and Newcastle United, an incident occurred involving a Chelsea fan and Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka. 

The confrontation happened after Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk scored a late equalizer, leading to a penalty shootout, which Chelsea won.

Police and Club Investigations

According to Daily Mail, The Metropolitan Police and Chelsea FC are conducting investigations into the incident. No arrests have been made so far, but both entities are closely examining the circumstances that led to the confrontation.

A fan from the Chelsea home section ran onto the pitch and barged into Martin Dubravka. Dubravka did not react to the provocation and was unharmed. The fan was able to return to his seat with minimal intervention from the matchday stewards.

Responses from Team Management

Both Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino and Newcastle manager Eddie Howe condemned the incident. Pochettino expressed his disappointment and concern over the safety implications of such fan actions.
