Atalanta remain firm on their valuation despite Napoli pulling out of the deal to sign the African winger.
Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman could be on his way to La Liga since Atletico Madrid are showing serious interest in the 27-year-old Nigerian.
Atletico Madrid are prepared to compete with Napoli for his signature, with a report from Corriere dello Sport reporting that Atalanta are holding out for a €60 million fee for Ademola Lookman. The report further suggested that Atalanta are unwilling to budge on their valuation.
Last season, the forward made 31 Serie A appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing 5 assists and his contract with the Bergamo club runs until the summer of 2027. In 2024, Lookman was named African Footballer of the Year.

According to SportItalia, Italian Serie A champions Napoli revealed that the valuation by Atalanta of Ademola Lookman, around 60 million euros, is high for a player who is closer to 30 and not 25.
While Napoli are fond of Ademola Lookman, they have made the deliberate decision not to pursue a deal to sign the Nigerian international forward as a replacement for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Kvicha Kvaratskhelia departed the club in the January transfer window, and the head coach of Napoli, Antonio Conte, had expressed interest in signing Ademola Lookman in place of the left winger.

Atalanta had expressed openness to his departure but had insisted that they want a fee over €50m, which excludes the add-ons.
The champions have now turned their attention to Italian forward Federico Chiesa, who lifted the English Premier League title with Liverpool during his loan spell from Juventus last season.
