Talanta Stadium is steadily rising into a world-class sports venue promising an unforgettable Afcon 2027 experience for fans and athletes.
Talanta Stadium is fast approaching its final stages of construction as Kenya races to deliver one of Africa’s most modern football venues in time for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
Located at Jamhuri Grounds along Ngong Road, just 10 kilometres from Nairobi’s central business district, the 60,000-seat stadium is expected to transform the country’s sports and entertainment landscape.
The project, launched with much fanfare on March 1, 2024, is on schedule to be completed by December 2025, giving Kenya almost two years to prepare for the continental football showpiece.

Construction is being handled by the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), with a total cost projected at Sh44.7 billion.
