Comoros is topping Group I in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier after two wins in two, with Ghana trailing behind.

Lowly-rated Comoros managed to pull off a remarkable victory against one of Africa’s football giants, the Black Stars of Ghana, during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier

The celebration didn’t stop on the pitch as it was extended to social media where the team trolled their Ghanaian counterparts using their compatriot, Akrobeto.

Ghana’s Black Stars were the visitors at the Stade de Moroni Stadium, in Moroni, Comoros, for round two of the 2026 FIFA WCQ in Africa.

However, it turned out to be an expected shocker as the home side defeated their away side 1-0 to register their second win in as many matches.

Myziane Maolida was the hero of the day for Comoros as he scored the decisive winner two minutes before the first half break.

After the three points were sealed and delivered, social media erupted with jubilant messages from the home fans and the team.

One of such messages came from the Comoros Football account on social media platform, X.com, where the Black Stars were mocked.

The post was a video of Ghanaian actor, comedian and TV presenter, Akrobeto, famous for his incredibly humorous laughter, who uses his platform to display his love for football.

Alongside the hilarious video was a short message “Did you say Ghana?”

Comoros’ shocking win had already caused an uproar throughout Africa, but the light-hearted trolling by the handle using a Ghanaian comedian, added a touch of humour to the situation.

Football fans have since taken to the comments section, to appreciate a good and healthy banter, including Ghanaians, who praised the handler for cooking them.
