The match started off with K'Ogalo dominating the field with high-class ball possession but there was no clear chance of a goal yet. However, a 20th-minute score by Austin Odhiambo through a free kick placed Gor Mahia in the lead.

K'Ogalo did not give Vihiga Bullets ample time to digest the first goal as Peter Lwasa doubled the score as he thumped the ball to the back of the net in the 25th minute. The 28th minute almost saw Vihiga Bullets secure their first win but the Jonathan McKinstry boys put up a good fight and denied the score.

In the 37th minute, Vihiga also charged up and put up a good attack but the final cutback came as an easy pick for Sylvester Owino in the box.

The second half began with a campaign from Kaddu in the 47th minute but his first attempt hit rock bottom.  The Ugandan then charged up and scored in the 54th minute through a corner cross delivered by Odhiambo. A 54th-minute brace from Kaddu also secured K'Ogalo another goal.

In the 82nd minute, the Ugandan stunned the masses by pulling off a classy score to end the game 5-0.

Meanwhile, the match between Tusker FC and Bidco United at the Ruaraka Complex saw the brewers secure a 3-1 win to take them to second place behind leaders Gor Mahia.
