Chasing pack of KCB and Tusker all register victories with the Bankers cutting Gor Mahia's lead to one point.

FKF Premier League leaders Gor Mahia were forced to share spoils with challengers Nzoia Sugar after a late penalty secured the millers a 2-2 draw at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma on Wednesday afternoon.

Twice K'Ogalo lead and twice their traditional bogey opponents clawed their way back to parity. Gor were off to a good start with a third minute attack by Austin Odhiambo that gave them an early lead.

The Sugar Millers are awarded a corner but K’Ogalo’s John Otieno had other plans and took the ball away from Beji. 26 minutes into the match, another chance presented itself to Nzoia Sugar but Yassin Sije missed the back of the net and sent the ball hitting the cross bar.

Gor created another chance in the 35th minute as Mwangi was fouled near the box but the resultant free kick did not trouble Gad Mathews.

Odhiambo of K’Ogalo got injured in the 47th minute and was substituted by Alpha Onyango. As the match intensified, Felicien Okanda passed the ball to Beja in the 48th minute but he failed to convert. Gor got a penalty in the 60th minute and golden boy Benson Omalla scored in the 62nd minute to put K’Ogalo ahead.

In the 70th minute, Jonathan McKinstry made two changes on Paul Ochuoga and George Odhiambo who were replaced by Philemon Otieno and John Macharia. As the tension grew, James Kibande of Nzoia Sugar scored through a penalty to equalise the scores in the 81st minute.

The two sides tried utulizing the few minutes left but their efforts proved futile leading to a 2-2 draw as the referee blew the whistle.

Meanwhile, Tusker FC were off to a good start courtesy of Erick Mmata to put the brewers in the lead four minutes into their match against Bandari FC at the Ruaraka Stadium.

Mmata flipped Deogratious Ojok through but he failed to connect well. Bandari FC were forced to make a substitution in the 25th minute after Fidel Origa got an injury. The brewers are also forced to make a substitution after Tom Teka got an injury.

The second half kicked off with Daniel Sakari passing the ball to Ojok but he unfortunately misses the chances. The brewers made quick changes as Shaphan Oyugi, Shami Kibwana and Mmata came off while Humphrey Miyeno, Lawrence Luvanda and Erick Zakayo stepped in.

Bandari coach Anthony Kimani also made changes on Amos Asembeka and Abdallah Hassan to replace them with Joe Waithira and Enoch Machaka. The 65th minute saw Aloro make an attack but his effort bore no fruits. The match ended with the brewers having gunnered three points.

In another match played between Kenya Police FC and Kariobangi Sharks, the cops put up a good fight to edge out the eastlands side 3-2 in the one-sided match at Kasarani.

Elsewhere, Ulinzi Stars got three points over Kakamega Homebobyz courtesy of the 78th minute header by Hillary Simiyu at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
