The league giants are among the teams still in contention for the domestic trophy.

After battling hard to see off Kibera Soccer, Gor Mahia will now face fellow Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz in the Round of 16 of the FKF Cup.

Homeboyz booked their place in the next round after beating Shalimar FC. The Premier League side was unable to beat their lowly-ranked opponents as they were held to a goalless draw before the match had to be decided on penalties.

The Kakamega-based club finally won 4-3 from the spot and now have a daunting task ahead as they have to beat K’Ogalo in order to advance to the quarterfinals.

2017 champions AFC Leopards have been scheduled to face second-division side, Murang'a Seal. Ingwe, who are the cup’s ten-time winners, defeated Zetech Titans 2-0, while Seal beat Luanda Villa to book their place in this round.

Tusker, the four-time cup champions, will face off against Rainbow FC.

The Brewers had a relatively easy task as they walloped Berlin FC, featuring in the Garissa County League, 7-0. On the other hand, Rainbow registered a 5-3 post-match penalty shootout victory after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Migori Youth at the end of regulation time.

There will be an all-Premier League clash in two other Rounds of 16 matches. Kenya Police will battle Ulinzi Stars while KCB are scheduled to face Bidco United.

Finally, Bandari, who edged Administration Police 2-0, will tackle Mwatate United. United progressed after their 4-2 penalty shout-out victory over Coastal Heroes.

The game had ended in a 1-1 draw.
