Ingwe are placed sixth on the log with 26 points from 16 matches.

AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems has lauded his custodian Levis Opiyo after keeping them in the barren draw against Kariobangi Sharks to register his seventh consecutive clean sheet for the club.

Leopards were the favorites to land the full points as Ojo Olaniyi, Victor Omune, and Cliff Nyakeya were all over the Sharks.

However, they missed pulling the trigger when needed as the trio failed to convert their chances, and both teams had to settle for a point.

Speaking after the match, Aussems said he was frustrated by the lack of efficiency but was happy with his boys.

"Points have been shared. The best opportunities in the first half fell to Sharks and the second half on us. We managed the tempo of the game during the 90 minutes; unfortunately, we could not score. We missed efficiency, and to be honest with you, goalkeeper Opiyo saved us two times.

We deserved to get goals in this game; a draw is fair, but it's our seventh game with a clean sheet. When we are not able to win, then we should not be able to lose," said Aussems.

Kariobangi Sharks coach William Muluya expressed his satisfaction with the draw against the 12-time league champions.

"It is a match that we did not score, but we kept a clean sheet, so that is somewhere to start from having lost our previous match against Mathare United unexpectedly.

I am satisfied with a point as much as we would have won the game with our chances in the first half," he said.

AFC Leopards have collected 26 points from 16 matches played and are sitting in sixth place in the league standings, while Kariobangi Sharks are placed 12th with 17 points from 13 matches.

Leopards will be seeking a win when they play KCB on Saturday afternoon at Nyayo Stadium, while Sharks will welcome Sofapaka at Utalii Grounds.
