Youngster Noah Kibet faces a stern test at the Penn Relays where he will be up against five strong opponents who will give him a run for his money.

Former World Under-20 800m bronze medallist Noah Kibet will take on very tough opponents at the 2024 Penn Relays scheduled for April 25-27.

Kibet recently relocated to the US with the hope of having a better run in his career and making an appearance at the event will be a test of what he has done so far and what he needs to do more.

However, he faces a stern test from some of the American runners who have achieved a lot on the track and will be ready to stun the youngster. Kibet will face off against his compatriot Festus Lagat who just like Kibet, will be opening his outdoor season there.

Lagat has enjoyed a vibrant indoor season with two races and he looks to build on that going to the outdoor. He finished second in the 1000m race at the Fastrack National Invite and fourth in the 800m at the Penn State Tune Up event.

Another athlete that Kibet should watch will be Great Britain’s Kyle Langford who has a Personal Best time of 1:44.31. Langford will hope to bounce back at the event after failing to finish the race in his season opener at the Ken Shannon Last Chance.

Jamaica’s Navasky Anderson has also been added to the stellar cast and he will be hoping to shine in his season opener at the event. His last competition was at the Pan American Games where he finished third in the final of the 800m.

The American duo of Vincent Crisp and Luciano Fiore will also be in the mix and they will be hoping to shine on home soil. Crisp hopes to bounce back after failing to make the cut to the World Indoor Championships earlier this year.

On his part, Fiore also hopes to build upon his indoor races to rise to the top. He finished fourth in the 800m at the Millrose Games and failed to make the cut to the final in the World Indoor Championships national trials.
