Reigning 800m Olympic champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi has become one of four latest athletes to sign up with Michael Johnson’s inaugural Grand Slam Track, which will kick off in Kingston, Jamaica this April.
Wanyonyi, who will be participating in both the 800m and 1500m in the league, becomes the third Kenyan to join the initiative after Mary Moraa, Agnes Ng’etich, and Ronald Kwemoi.
The 20-year-old has already established himself as one of the best middle-distance talents in the world.
