The 200m Olympic gold medalist revealed that this will be his first attempt at doubling in a Diamond League event.

“I mean this is the first time I'm doubling in a Diamond League and the first time having that short period apart from the semi-final in Budapest and the final, I think it was almost an hour apart,” Tebogo said.

“So I don't know how I'm going to be doing that one hour, but I feel like it will be a fruitful one hour just to get the legs rolling and just getting heated up.”

Tebogo’s versatility in both the 100m and 200m has drawn global attention, and Rabat will serve as a key test of his endurance and strategy as he balances recovery and performance in quick succession.

Navigating Pressure

While the thought of clinching victories in both events is enticing, Tebogo is approaching the races with measured expectations.

“Winning both races will definitely be a good night for me, but I don't want to put myself under that pressure,” he stated.

“I'll just come out here and then look how the 100 does, because I believe the coach is happy with the 200. But the 100, there's still a few things that needed to be fixed, which we are going to see if we have corrected in the past few days.”

With a growing reputation and a high-profile lineup in Rabat, all eyes will be on Tebogo to see how he navigates this intense one-hour window, possibly setting the tone for a historic season ahead.
