Gitau has kept faith in the squad that has been playing in the local league.

Kenya Pipeline women's volleyball team head coach Paul Gitau has named his final squad for the upcoming African Clubs Championship to be held in Tunisia from May 13 to 26.

The squad comprising 14 players has been in a residential training camp in Mombasa and is expected to arrive in Nairobi on Sunday to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the African show.

Experienced setter Rose Mangoi will captain the team alongside Faith Imondia, who crossed over from the African Champions KCB Women's Volleyball Team in February.

Imodia was part of the Bankers squad that won the African title in Tunisia last year.

Utility player Leonida Kasaya has also made the squad, and she will lead the outside hitter position, which has Naomi Too, Daisy Chepkorir, and Pamela Odhiambo.

Aggripina Kundu and Betty Sifuna are the Liberos, while the opposite attackers' position has Miriam Cherono and Joyce Simiyu.

Pipeline, who won the Africa Club Championships in 2006, will be looking to improve their third-place finish during the last edition, which was also staged in Tunis.

After reclaiming the Kenya Volleyball Federation National Women's from KCB, the ladies earned the ticket to represent the country.

They last won the national title in 2017 at the Makande Indoor Arena in Mombasa.
