Led by coach Justine Madugu, the Super Falcons displayed resilience, technical discipline to overcome a partisan Moroccan crowd and reassert their dominance in African women’s football.

What Chelle said

Chelle, who took over as Super Eagles head coach earlier this year, praised Madugu and his squad in a message shared via the Super Eagles media team.

Eric Chelle will hope to deliver Nigeria's first-ever CHAN title.

“I want to congratulate the coach, it was a great tournament. I’m so proud of you and your technical staff. You deserve this trophy. I’m so happy for you and your family.

“I also want to congratulate the best team in Africa, the Super Falcons. You deserve this trophy. It was not easy because you faced Morocco in Morocco, and you did it. I think the future of the Super Falcons will be great," he added.

Chelle is preparing to lead the Super Eagles B to the African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
