Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has reportedly scheduled a meeting with 4 first-team players to inform them that their future lies outside Camp Nou.
Xavi makes preparations for Messi return
Messi is set to leave PSG on a free transfer this summer and despite a huge economic attempt to recruit the legendary Argentine forward to Saudi Arabia, his preference remains a return to Barcelona.
The Blaugrana have financial restraints at the moment, making any such move very difficult to pull off.
To that effect, Mirror Football has reported that at least 4 first-team players will have to be let go in order to register new contracts.
Xavi is now expected to hold talks with Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, Franck Kessie, and Jordi Alba, telling them that they will not form part of his plans next season as the club look to free-up funds to bolster their squad.
Big picture for Barca
Despite securing a first LaLiga title in four years, Barca will want to quickly return to a force in European football, and bringing Messi back could set them on the right path.
