KCCA FC ended speculations on their new coach after confirming Portuguese tactician Sérgio Daniel Moniz Traguil on Monday for a two-year deal.

The UEFA A license joined from Botswana Premier League record-holders Township Rollers.

Traguil, who has averaged a team every year for the last decade or so, spent less than six months at the club, having joined on January 12th.

The coach failed to stabilise the team’s fortunes on the pitch managing only seven wins in 20 games as Rollers went trophy-less for the third year running.

However, the club has noted that they did not part ways with the coach because of sporting but financial reasons.

“His contract was coming to an end,” Phempheretlhe Bafana Pheto, the acting chairman, confirmed to Pulse Sports via phone.

“So,” Pheto explains, “since we are in transition after parting ways with our investor, we felt we would not afford him.”

It was not revealed how much KCCA FC signed the coach and the nitty-gritty of the deal.
