Why Olago is optimistic despite KCB’s Kenya Cup struggles against Kabras
KCB RFC head coach Curtis Olago has vowed to the team's mojo after they lost decisively to Kabras in last Saturday's Kenya Cup final at the Kakamega ASK Showground.
The Bankers were tamed by their rivals in a well-attended final, but after failing to win the coveted title, the tactician hopes they will recover from the setback.
"We will pick ourselves up. We are a mature side, so do not worry about that [loss to Kabras]," Olago said after a 19-9 defeat.
"Good game of rugby, both sides pushed and tried hard. These boys made so many sacrifices in their lives.
"At the end of the day, only one side has to win, and Kabras won, so kudos to them. We will try better next time and try to give them a run for their money.

Olago, a former Kenya 15s international, praised Kabras for their game strategy and especially how they dealt with their mistakes.
"It is all about managing mistakes. They managed their mistakes better, and kudos to them," he added.
"Rugby is a game of mistakes and a game of precision. Sometimes when you make a mistake, the other team capitalizes on them."
However, the coach did not want to divulge his plans for the 7s circuit as he picked out people who deserved credit following their performance before the final game.
"The 7s circuits will take care of themselves, but we will plan again for the next season. We had a good run this season and put in some good work, and the results showed," he concluded.
"We got to the final, and that is good enough. We played our best today [Saturday], and I am happy for the boys, the technical team, and the sponsor, KCB. They put in a lot of resources to make sure that we get to this level."
Apart from failing to win the Kenya Cup, KCB were also unable to revenge their regular season loss to Kabras.
