'We're champions, and that's fantastic, but we won't rest on our laurels' - Konaté not ready to relax
The defender played an important role in Liverpool's title race, leading the team to their 20th Premier League title.
Konaté didn't start the first game of the season but quickly earned his place alongside Virgil van Dijk in central defence, clocking 2,565 minutes in the Premier League.
Konate speaks on next season's challenges
Konate has set his sights on next year's goals and plans on defending their Premier League title or winning the Champions League.
"I didn't start the first match, but I came on at halftime," he told The Athletic. "From that point on, the goal was clear – I wanted to win everything and never stop trying."
"I didn't want to give anyone a chance, neither the players competing for my position nor our opponents. That's what happened, and I'm very happy with the season we had, but we won't be resting on our laurels.
"We're champions, and that's fantastic, but it's not the end. I want to be first again or win the Champions League. We won't forget this title, but we'll put it behind us. We have to do what we did this year," he continued.
