The Dutch midfielder, one of four new signings made during a special June transfer window for the tournament, highlighted how living and training with his new teammates in the United States has fostered quick bonding. 

Reijnders impressed on his competitive debut last week in City's 2-0 victory over Wydad and is expected to play against Juventus on Thursday.

The former AC Milan midfielder expressed the team's strong determination to secure top spot in Group G. 

Reijnders emphasised that finishing first is their immediate objective, setting the tone for the rest of the tournament.

“We want to win the game and finish first in the group,” asserted the midfielder.

“And from there on we will see what will be facing the rest of the tournament.

“It’s a big prize so now we are really excited for tomorrow and for the next round.

“And yeah, we are here with one goal and this winning this tournament.”
