"We feel like a different team" - Amorim sees improvement at Manchester United squad
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim projected confidence ahead of the Snapdragon Cup clash with Fiorentina at Old Trafford.
This is the final preseason game before the official start of the season. The Portuguese manager will have the opportunity to begin the season with the Red Devils after joining mid-season in 2024/25 from Sporting.
He has also expressed his ambition and hope to remain at the club for many years to come, just like Sir Alex Ferguson.
What Amorim said
The Portuguese manager shared a message about how pleased he is with his team, via the Red Devils' media channels, as reported by Abola.
"Welcome back to Old Trafford for our final preseason game before the Premier League kicks off. This is an important time of year, not just to prepare for the matches, but more importantly to enjoy our time together, both on and off the pitch," he began in a statement shared by Manchester United on the club's official website.
"I can feel the improvements in the environment now that the right details are in place to help us be better. The players we worked with last season are stronger and we've made some key signings.
"Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha are top-class players who have proven themselves in the Premier League, but they're also humble and have shown a tremendous desire to come to Manchester United. Diego León is a different kind of signing, one with high potential for the future," he added, highlighting the team's confidence.
"We feel like a different team. We must always remember how special it is to be Manchester United. We must strive for our best every day," he concluded.
Manchester United kicks off its Premier League campaign by hosting Arsenal, a match that will see Ruben Amorim and Gyokeres face off once again.
