‘We allowed the opponent’ - Osimhen explains team performance following draw against Hatayspor

Galatasaray dropped two vital points in their race for the Turkish League title following their 1-1 draw against relegation-threatening Hatayspor.

The Super Eagles star led the attack for the league leaders and played an important role in the game.

However, despite scoring his 14th goal of the season from the penalty spot, they could only salvage a draw from the game.

The Nigerian striker has reacted to the team's performance and expressed his belief in his teammate's ability.

According to reports from Galatasaray's official website, Osimhen said, "The first half lacked a bit of intensity. 

“We allowed the opponent to play a little, but after the coach’s talk, we started the second half really well. 

"We increased the intensity and focused more on our game. These kinds of matches are difficult. 

“We need to maintain our focus and take every opportunity that comes our way. We missed many chances, but we will learn from our mistakes and aim to do better." 

Galatasaray are still at the top of the league table despite their draw against Hatayspor and are nine points above Fenerbache in second place.
