US President Donald Trump has revealed who his best football player is after attending the FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday.
Trump, alongside First Lady Melania Trump, joined FIFA president Gianni Infantino in the executive box to watch the final between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain which the Blues won in emphatic fashion.
Chelsea were seen as underdogs but suffocated PSG with Cole Palmer the architect of the Champions League winners’ downfall as he scored twice before setting up new signing Joao Pedro to complete a comprehensive 3-0 win.

Trump joined Infantino in handing out the medals then had a brief interview when he revealed the football player that he enjoyed watching the most over the years.

“He was the inspiration we had, and this place was packed. It was an earlier version of this stadium, but right here in the Meadowlands, and it was Pele.
“I don't want to date myself, but that was a long time ago. I was a young guy, and I came to watch Pele and he was fantastic. And I would say, probably I'll go old fashioned. That's like saying Babe Ruth, but I would say Pele was so great.”
Pele was widely regarded as the best player ever with heroics with Brazil seeing him win three World Cups although over the years, there has been debate over who is the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo and Messi have dominated the last two decades but Pele and Argentine legend Diego Maradona were the greats of the 20th century hence the preference by Trump, who grew up during that period.
