Valdano Praises Fermín López's Consistency
In an unexpected turn of events, Real Madrid icon Jorge Valdano has broken ranks to commend Barcelona's Fermín López. The 20-year-old midfielder has defied his critics by amassing 34 appearances and scoring six crucial goals for the Catalans this campaign.
Valdano, in an interview with Movistar Fútbol, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, expressed his admiration for Fermín's role in providing stability to the team.
“I really like Fermín. It seems to me that he gives consistency to the team. He is a player who I see a little underrated. It seems to me that his performance is much superior to the adjectives that he is collecting out there, because of these things that sometimes happen in football. The truth is that he is having a great season, for me.”
