Transfer News: Former Super Eagles-eligible forward holds talks with Liverpool and Chelsea

Napoli's hopes of signing Karim Adeyemi have been dealt a blow as the Borussia Dortmund forward is reportedly considering offers from Chelsea and Liverpool.  

Adeyemi has been identified as a potential replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who recently joined Paris Saint-Germain.   

Napoli are in talks with Dortmund over a potential €45m deal for Adeyemi. However, reports in Italy suggest that the player is stalling on a move to Italy as he dreams of playing in the Premier League.  

Chelsea and Liverpool have both expressed an interest in signing the Germany international, potentially scuppering the Serie A club’s plans.

Napoli are determined to sign a quality replacement for Kvaratskhelia but are unwilling to pay over the market value for a player. 

They may be forced to look elsewhere if Adeyemi decides to hold out for a move to England.

Adeyemi could feature for Dortmund in their final Champions League match of the inaugural league phase, with the forward keen to add to his three goals in as many appearances. 

The Bundesliga side, currently in 14th spot, host Ukrainian side Shakhtar on Wednesday, January 29.
