Vincent Kompany has dismissed concerns that veteran players Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer will not be fully committed to the team under his leadership.
Muller, 34, and Neuer, 38, are considered legends at Bayern, but their age and reported dissatisfaction with the departure of former manager Thomas Tuchel have raised questions about their dedication to the team.
However, Kompany is confident that their drive to succeed will be an asset.
Kompany believes he will have support from Bayern Legends
"I have very clear ideas about what I want to achieve," Kompany said.
"It's also exciting for players like Manuel and Thomas. It's much easier to work with players like that. They have become legends because they always want to get better."
Kompany is looking to restore Bayern's dominance in the Bundesliga, after a trophyless season that saw Bayer Leverkusen claim the title.
With Muller and Neuer on board, he is optimistic about the team's prospects.
